ACE Communities
ACE 2003 Class (Pilot Year)
Eight communities were selected to participate. Seven have completed the program:
- Brewton, Alabama Community of Excellence (designated 2006)
- Demopolis, Alabama Community of Excellence (designated 2005)
- Guin, Alabama Community of Excellence (designated 2005)
- Guntersville, Alabama Community of Excellence (designated 2006)
- Haleyville, Alabama Community of Excellence (designated 2005)
- Monroeville, Alabama Community of Excellence (designated 2005)
- Valley, Alabama Community of Excellence (designated 2006)
Wetumpka withdrew from the program after completing Phase I.
ACE 2005 Class:
Six communities were selected to participate in the 2005 Class. All have completed the program:
- Atmore, Alabama Community of Excellence (designated 2007)
- Fayette, Alabama Community of Excellence (designated 2007)
- Gulf Shores, Alabama Community of Excellence (designated 2007)
- Heflin, Alabama Community of Excellence (designated 2007)

- Thomasville, Alabama Community of Excellence (designated 2007)

Three communities were selected to participate in the 2006 Class:
- Headland, Alabama Community of Excellence (designated 2009)
- Jackson, Alabama Community of Excellence (designated 2008)

Three communities have been selected to participate:
York withdrew from the program after completing Phase I.
