Continuing to support local sporting organizations, such as the Mobile Sports Authority; assisting the Mobile Sports Authority by hosting the 2019 Spartan Race; maintaining existing parks while providing funding to construct a new recreational splash pad; working with property owners to mitigate nuisances, but also assisting property owners abate nuisances in a timely and agreeable fashion; continuing to assist property owners with property adjacent to city limits annex into city limits; continuing to recruit commercial entities; balancing public facilities to keep pace with city growth; utilizing the school system to implement growth strategies, such as early career development; promoting the development and retention of local businesses; continuing to utilize the Chamber of Commerce to develop relationships with existing and potential commercial endeavors; continuing to develop the professional services of the City through hiring, training and continuing education programs.
