Green infrastructure improves economy, simplifies operations, and increases a community’s quality of life. This one-day workshop will introduce participants to techniques, projects, and talent from around Alabama that best demonstrate those benefits.
Attendees will learn how to go beyond beautification and use these projects to have a positive impact on the economics and environment of their communities. Sessions will include resiliency, low-impact design, water management, shading, impervious surfaces, and COVID-19 park policies.
Presenters include Ed McMahon, design professionals, local elected officials, and community members.
