2023 Star Award Nominations

Awards will be presented at the Municipal Leadership Institute on November 8th at 2pm at the Perdido Beach Resort.

The ACE Star Award recognizes individuals considered to be the “shining stars” of the ACE Program who have performed above and beyond the call of duty. ACE Advisory Board Members & Ambassadors (formerly Associates Council), ACE Community Participants, and ACE Volunteers are eligible for this award. Be sure to explain why you believe the individual deserves to win an ACE Star Award.

The 2023 ACE Star Award recipients will be recognized on November 8th at the Municipal Leadership Institute at Perdido Beach Resort program hosted by the Alabama League of Municipalities. To register for the Municipal Leadership Institute please click here.

Nominations must be received SOON and may be made by any ACE Advisory Board, ACE Ambassador member or ACE Community Participant for one of the following 6 categories:

Outstanding ACE Mayor

Recognizes a mayor who has performed above and beyond the call of duty while participating in the ACE program. (Can be a mayor from a designated community or community in Phase II of the ACE process.)

Outstanding ACE Ambassador

Recognizes an individual who has performed above and beyond the call of duty while participating in the ACE program. (Can be an ACE Captain, Mentor, or Advisory Board or ACE Ambassador Member.)

Outstanding ACE Local Coordinator

Recognizes a local coordinator (a community participant appointed local coordinator by the mayor) who has performed above and beyond the call of duty while participating in the ACE program. (Can be a local coordinator from a designated community or community in Phase II of the ACE process.)

Exceptional ACE Leadership

Recognizes an individual who has provided exceptional leadership for the ACE program. (Can be an ACE Partner/Associates Council Member, ACE Community Participant, or ACE Volunteer.)

Outstanding ACE Volunteer

Recognizes an individual who has provided outstanding volunteer service to the ACE program. (Can be an ACE Partner/Associates Council Member, ACE Community Participant, or ACE Volunteer.)

Outstanding ACE Team Captain

Recognizes an individual who has provided outstanding leadership to an assessment team working with the 2021 class of communities: Aliceville, Ashville, Luverne, and Ozark. (ACE Team Captains working with the 2021 Class of communities are eligible.)
