Statewide Grant Opportunities: Deadlines Approaching

Grant Opportunities for Historic Preservation – Deadline August 15
The Alabama Historical Commission (AHC) is accepting grant applications for capital enhancements to non-state owned or operated historical properties and sites.  Grants will be awarded for the coming fiscal year 2015, which begins October 1.  Local historical sites and parks operated by non-profit or tax exempt organizations and county or municipal governments are eligible. Grant Opportunities for Humanities-Related Projects – Deadline September 15
The Alabama Humanities Foundation is accepting proposals for humanities-related initiatives, such as funding for oral history projects, curatorial-archival needs or historic interpretation programs. Preliminary proposals are due August 15, four weeks in advance of a full proposal. For more information, visit http://www.alabamahumanities.org/grants/.
