Thank you ACE Communities and ACE Members for participating in the November 6, 2014 Economic & Community Development Incentives; Nuts & Bolts and Small Town Perspectives Seminar held at the Alabama Power Conference Center in Clanton, Alabama.  It was a very productive seminar with good feedback.
A packed house of ACE communities and others learned about the various tax incentives that are available to municipalities for economic development and how they work. Participants  also received insights into how one community used tax incentives to help achieve its goals.

Special thanks to Thomas Longino of Balch & Bingham, Hollie Cost, Mayor of ACE Town Montevallo,  Ephraim Stockdale of Alabama Power Company, and Nisa Miranda of University of Alabama Center for Economic Development for their sponsorship of this workshop. Stay tuned for additional workshop opportunities.
